Peppermint Bark

  • 10 candy canes
  • 2 bags of white chocolate chips
  • Canola oil

Smash the candy canes. This part is tricky to accomplish without making a mess. I suggest putting the candy canes in a plastic baggy and then triple bagging it before smashing. The broken candy pieces will try to escape the plastic.

Melt chocolate in either a double boiler or a microwave. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of canola oil to thin it out. Be careful not to burn.

Mix in candy pieces and spread evenly on wax paper. Let cool for 30 minutes. When possible transfer to freezer. Freeze. Break apart and serve.
